Come hear the latest news of what has been happening at the Good News Chapel at our in person banquet this year. The meal will be provided by Charlotte's Catering.
Good News Chapel is partnering with Valley Alliance and Yorkton Alliance to plant a church on Muskowekwan First Nation.
January 21, 2023, Saturday, 2pm at the Band Hall was the first service on Muskowekwan. Church Services will be every Saturday, 2pm, ongoing. We have approval from Chief & Council to use the Band Hall for the church service. There are currently four Pastors rotating preaching duties going through the Book of Luke, so that those who hear will have a firm foundation on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Each Saturday service will also have children's church, which will teach kids the truth of the Bible in a way that they can understand. Each service also includes: Worshiping God together through music and offering our prayers together in community. There is a FaceBook page used to relay information about the church services. HELP NEEDED!
We've been blessed to have a retired caterer prepare meals every Sunday for 10 years (her reward will be great in heaven)! At the end of December she will no longer be able to prepare meals for us. We need your help in finding people who are willing to be involved in this important ministry. We continue to provide meals every Sunday as part of the church service. Did you know that the last remaining residential school building in Saskatchewan that has not been destroyed is on Muskowekwan First Nation by Lestock (north of Fort Qu’Appelle)? You can find more details at the following link: https://indigenouspeoplesatlasofcanada.ca/article/still-standing/ Over the last number of years we have given out school supplies in a number of places- both here in Regina and on local reserves. This year we feel God is leading us to provide support to the Muskowekwan School on Muskowekwan First Nation. Doors are opening to share the Gospel here as there are many direct connections between people in our church in Regina and with families and leadership on the reserve of Muskowekwan. Would you like to partner with us as we support Indigenous teachers teaching Indigenous children their own language and culture? Reconciliation is a long complicated process and this is only one step but we are committed to reaching out however we can and to hopefully find ways to show what the Church is supposed to look like. Any donations of school supplies, shoes or financial gifts towards this project would make a huge difference! Please note we will also be supporting local children dealing with poverty as well - we are incredibly thankful that this project has grown to the point where we can not only support those in need in our community but also reach out to the reserves in our area. donate online: www.goodnewschapel.ca/donate e-transfers: [email protected] For More Information including Drop Off location Call: (306)580-0112 or Email: [email protected] Donations Deadline: August 29th ![]()

True reconciliation can only happen as we are brought into union with Jesus Christ. If you are interested in First Nations Ministry and would like to understand some of the differences in sharing the Gospel within a First Nation culture, join us online or in person.
